Diamond quality
How to choose a quality diamond
Four factors matter when choosing a diamond: cut quality, color, clarity and carat weight. Together they shape how a diamond looks and what it costs. We help you understand the differences and choose the stone that best fits your wishes.

Cut quality
Cut determines how efficiently a diamond reflects light and how much it sparkles. Round brilliant diamonds get the top grade, Excellent. For other shapes IGI grades polish and symmetry, which on our diamonds are likewise graded Excellent.

Color
Our range covers colours D, E and F, all in the colourless grade. The differences are very small to the naked eye, so we help you judge whether a surcharge for a higher grade is worth it. Other colours are available on request.

Clarity
Clarity describes the number and visibility of internal inclusions and other features of a diamond. Our range runs from VS2 to VVS1: VVS1 is the highest clarity grade, VS2 the lowest. In well-chosen diamonds from this range, inclusions are generally not visible to the naked eye.

Carat weight
A carat (ct) measures a diamond's mass, not its diameter. At the same weight, an oval, pear or marquise diamond can look larger than a round one. Aurora and Lune are available from 0.50 ct, the other models from 1.00 ct.
